All White baths

OK so who doesn't LOVE a beautiful bathroom. I am in love with all white bathroom and here are some of my favorites. This first bath is simply gorgeous! Not a lot of storage so you hope they have a large linen closet somewhere?? Thanks Architectural Digest for this beautiful photo.

Love the ceilings!!!  I know most of us don't have 16 ft. ceilings in our bathrooms but we can still dream!!

LOVE the Carrera marble floors!! Also loving the lantern. Love the idea that lanterns don't just have to go outside. They can go over a table, in an entry and even in a bathroom!! Think outside of the box!

Loving the hardwood floors. Don't know how well that would work with my three kiddos (splish splash) but it is beautiful. Maybe several coats of boat poly???

Bye Bye Summer 2010

Now that Fall is upon us, the shorter days and cool nights make me long for one last dip in the ocean.  The white sandy beaches of the Gulf Coast are simply the best this time of year.  Every time I see this photo of my youngest, it makes me want to go back-this is what summer is all about.  I wonder what she was thinking looking out at the vast, enormous ocean right at her toes?  Maybe I can convince my sweet husband that we need one last trip before winter arrives.  Hopefully we can squeeze it in between all the soccer and football games!  Our lives are so crazy with school and sports and other activities that I would just love to take a few days and slow down a bit and enjoy the warm sun and sand.  Where would you like to go???

From Craigslist to Maggie's room!

Here is a beautiful bed that I purchased on Craigslist.  I got such a great deal on it that I felt OK to go ahead and paint it.  Another reason was my girls decided early on that this was not going to be either one of their beds!!  They just don't know how truly blessed they are sometimes.  AND, I was bound and determined to prove them wrong!!  So off to The Painted Door for a good coat of Vanilla Bean and some antiquing glaze.                                                                        

Here is the after!!!  TA DA!!!  Brand new solid wood bed for a fraction of what it would cost to purchase new!  What do you think????
